Equipment Kit
Our Home Brewing and Wine making Equipment Kits are designed for 5
- 6 gal. batch
of beer or wine. Instructions are included. It is durable &
expandable. We test all new equipment to make sure it
brews great beers and wine before we put it on the market. So
when you purchase a brewing or winemaking equipment kit from us you
can feel assured that you can brew great beer or make
enjoyable wine with the
greatest ease.
All our homebrewing equipment kits utilize the Single Stage
fermentation (1117 Single Stage Homebrewing Equipment Kit-Auto and
1120 Single Stage Homebrewing Glass Equipment Kit-Auto) process
of brewing beer where after the primary fermentation, for
approximately 7-11 days, the beer is bottled. If, after a couple
batches of homebrew beer with your single stage equipment kit, you
decide to make a clearer, smoother and cleaner tasting beer, you can
transform your single stage to a Two Stage process by just acquiring
a
5 gallon glass carboy and a
#7 Drilled Rubber Stopper and, depending on the equipment kit
you already have, a
carboy brush may be necessary. We make it simple to upgrade
without making any parts redundant. With the two stage fermentation
process, instead of bottling after the primary fermentation (7-11
days), the fermented beer in the
6.5 gallon fermenter or
6 gallon carboy is
siphoned (leaving sediments behind) into a 5 gallon carboy with
the
airlock attached. The carboy needs to be covered to protect it
from light and a allow to finish fermenting, settling and
conditioning for up to 1 1/2 months or until the beer is clear
before bottling. The two stage fermentation process will result in
less sediment in the bottle and a clear, smooth, clean tasting beer.
For a first-time brewing experience, we recommend the purchase of a
can of liquid malt extract (also call beer kit) from
BIERKELLER,
BREWFERM,
BREWMART,
COOPERS,
IRONMASTER,
JOHN BULL or
MUNTONS which comes with
easy-to-follow instructions. We also recommend the use of dry malt
extract and/or corn sugar for a homebrew. Most liquid malt extracts
("one hour beer kits") require 2.2 lbs. of brewing sugar. If you
prefer an all-malted-barley beer, then use 2-2.2 lbs of dry malt
extract instead of brewing sugar (corn sugar). If you enjoyed the beer you
experienced in London, England; Sydney, Australia or Hamburg,
Germany, these beer kits and our barkingbier kits are the way to go.
Our winemaking
equipment kit is designed for 5 or 6 gal. batch of wine.
Instructions are included and are geared toward making wine from
Winexpert's Vintners Reserve and Selection series of wine kits. We
recommend the purchase of a Vintners Reserve or Selection wine kit
for excellent wine in about 28 days. We offer 85 varieties to choose
from. Our winemaking equipment kit comes with a 7.9 gallon fermenter with an
easy to apply & remove gasketed lid. The winemaking kit can also be
used for making wine from home-grown fruits or from any frozen juice
concentrate.
The purchase of a wine-making or beer-making book is recommended for
the brewing & winemaking kits. These books are not a necessity, but
they are a great resource for your fermentation experience.
Instructions are included in each kit. As you research and look
at the many brewing and winemaking equipment kits available in the
market today, you will find our Equipment Kit is a good value and
comprised of appropriate quality parts. Our Brewing and Winemaking
Equipment Kit can be used to made a 5 or 6 gallon batch of your
favorite fermented beverage. The
gasketed lid is easier to apply &
remove, the
Bottle Filler-NonSpring
allows you to fill without constantly holding the filler, the
Black Beauty or
Red
Baron Capper is durable & ergonomically made so your hands won't
tire easily, the Portuguese Wing Corker in our Winemaking Equipment
Kit has a more durable metal jaw than the Italian Wing Corker's
plastic jaw, the
hydrometer
(use with Test Cylinder) is well made & accurate for measuring
potential alcohol, % sugar & specific gravity (in wort, must or
fruit juice), the
Buon Vino 3-piece Airlock allows CO² to escape &
prevent foreign particles to enter the
primary fermenter & fits nicely on
the lid, the
Liquid Crystal Thermometer quickly tells you if the wort/must is warm enough, the
rubber stopper ensures an airtight
seal, our
Test Cylinder prevents any accidental breaking of the
hydrometer in the wort/must
secondary fermenter (which would result in the
contamination of the whole batch of beer/wine). Finally, our
Auto Syphon
Kit that comes with the automatic equipment Kit readily starts
or stops siphoning within your control.
With equipment kit: 1301-.... you can ferment your 5
gallon batch in the 6 gallon glass carboy and observe the action
created by the fermentation process. It is exciting! Each strain of
yeast performs differently in the fermentation process.

COOPERS:
In
1864 Thomas Cooper left his business as a shoemaker in Adelaide,
South Australia and started the Coopers Brewery. Today the fourth
generation of Thomas’ descendents still run his namesake business,
including Managing Director Dr. Timothy Cooper and Board Chairman
Mr. Glenn Cooper. Renowned British beer and spirits critic Michael
Jackson gives the Coopers Brewery four stars and praises “their
heartiness and uncompromising honesty”. The Coopers Brewery has been
producing hobby beer making products since 1975 and is the
world-wide sales leader in homebrewing products. Three beer kit
series available here are:
Original Series Beer Kits - The
original six beer kits that started it all. The Coopers Brewery
Lager Beer Kit is the best selling beer kit in the world. Each kit
is complete, easy to use and is packaged with the Coopers Brewery’s
special strain of proprietary beer yeast that is renowned for its
consistency and fermentability.
International Series Beer Kits - Three
kits specifically designed to appeal to regional tastes. When the
Coopers Brewery introduced the Canadian Blonde, it was the first
beer kit produced by the Coopers Brewery specifically to meet a
particular area’s demand. Its popularity resulted in its world-wide
availability.
Thomas Coopers Brewmaster Series Beer Kits -
When The Coopers Brewery introduced the Brewmaster Series in 2001,
it launched a whole new dynamic in simple and easy homebrewing. Each
style of Brewmaster Series beer kit is packaged with a stylistically
appropriate yeast. This is a major departure from the standard
“one-size-fits-all” yeast found in most beer kits. Because the
flavor characteristics in brewing yeast play a substantial role in
the overall flavor of beer, the difference you get with Brewmaster
Series Beer Kits is immediately discernable.
JOHN BULL:
Available across in the UK, Europe, North America and
Oceania, John Bull Beer Kits are a world best-selling name. Created
by John Bull and made for over 30 years, John Bull Beer Kits have
always been made with the finest malted barley. John Bull Beer Kits
produce beers that are distinctively different from other
top-selling international brands, as John Bull is the only one made
in Newark. John Bull Beer Kits contain special malt extracts, made
and canned in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire and each beer kit
comes with its own premium quality John Bull Ale Yeast. The range
includes an extensive variety of beers for all tastes. The concept
of brewing is simple and, subject to following very easy to
understand instructions. The factory has exactly the same production
equipment as a brewery, the major difference is that where a brewery
ferments the wort, John Bull evaporate it to 80% solids. Thus a
standard brewing wort becomes malt extract (or concentrated malted
barley wort). To make John Bull Beer Kits, the finest quality
English malted barley is used and is extracted to develop
unmistakable clarity and release their natural flavor compounds.
Each variety has its own blend of hops to compliment the malt
perfectly. The result of this is that, to make quality beers at
home, all that needs to be done is to put back the water evaporated
out in the factory, add brewing sugar, a sachet of John Bull Premium
Ale Yeast and let nature take its course.
MUNTONS: The Muntons
Connoisseurs Range has been formulated to brew strong beers
emulating beer styles from around the world. Each Beer kit contains
1.8kg of 100% hopped malt extract - and in common with all Muntons
beer kits, no cheap barley syrup is used in their manufacture. With
the Connoisseurs range you will be able to experience taste
sensations including Wheat Beer modelled on the best German Weizen
style beers, Bock - the distinctive dark lager of Bavaria, Export
Stout - a classic full-bodied hoppy stout and a wide range of other
style beers. The Connoisseurs range offers the home beer-maker the
chance to make premium strength beers. Excellent value!

Tea
About Our Tea!!
The following regions of the world
are where our teas come from:
ARTISAN TEA - CHINA:
Delight your senses with incredible handmade
artisanal tea creations. These artisan teas conceal
worlds of mystery and soft flavors deep within their
shell-like exteriors. The techniques used to create
them have been handed down from generation to
generation and haven't changed in centuries. If you
look closely, you can even see the string used to
tie the broad-leafed, spring production tea, chosen
leaf by leaf by the artists themselves. It takes
about 10 minutes for an artisan to create one
artisanal tea piece. In general, 60-75 pieces make
up approximately 1 lb – roughly 10 hours worth of
work! What’s the best way to brew these drinkable
works of art? In a glass teapot of course! A glass
teapot offer an open window on the agony of the leaf
as the tea balls open to reveal the floral treasure
contained within. Watch as the leaves unfurl, the
bright colors of the flowers bleed into the water
and the balls are transformed into flowers
themselves. This is the first time many of these
teas have become available in the West so let them
shine.
ESTATE (BLACK) TEA -
AFRICA:
East Africa is a major tea producing region of the
world. Kenya is the largest producer in the region and the world’s
4th largest tea exporter. Kenya teas are noted for strength with
malty notes and a golden cup, whereas teas from Tanzania are
slightly less full bodied with more rosy liquors. Malawi is a
landlocked country whose teas often travel 1,200 miles to the
seaport in Durban, despite the fact the ocean is only 150 miles
away, due east through Mozambique.
ESTATE (BLACK) TEA - INDIA: ASSAM
and SOUTH INDIA:
The Assam region of northeast India is
bisected by the Brahmaputra river. Even though the region is not
high altitude the soil is a deep, sandy loam and the climate is hot
and steamy. These conditions produce thick full bodied teas. In
contrast however, the Nilgri teas grow at higher altitudes and in
very good soil producing light liquoring teas but with a unique
floral-like flavor.
ESTATE
(BLACK) TEA - DARJEELING:
The Darjeeling region in north
central India grows teas that exhibit a unique flavor — best
described as muscatel with a fairly light tasting cup. The tea
producing regions of Sikkim and Nepal are very close to Darjeeling
and subsequently their teas are somewhat similar in taste and cup
appearance.
ESTATE (BLACK) TEA - INDONESIA - JAVA
& SUMATRA:
Indonesians are light liquoring but with a rose
colored cup and hints of malt.
ESTATE
(BLACK) TEA - SRI LANKA OR CEYLON:
Sri Lanka (Ceylon) has 5
principal growing districts. The high grown districts (above 4000
feet above sea level) are Dimbula, Nuwara Eliya and Uva
characterized by teas that are light and flavory. The medium grown
district (2000-4000 feet) is Kandy whose better teas exhibit a malty
fullness with floral notes. The low grown region is Ruhunu (under
2000 feet) where teas tend to be full bodied and thick. Estate tea
Balangoda is a classic example of a good Ruhunu tea.
ESTATE (BLACK) TEA - MALAYSIA:
Boh, grown in the Cameron Highlands, is as invigorating as the
climate in which it is born. Boh is locals most popular tea,
well-known for its superb flavor, rich golden color and delightful
aroma. The first highland tea plantation in Malaysia was started in
1929 by Boh Plantations with the purpose of producing teas of
exceptional quality.
ESTATE (BLACK) TEA -
NEPAL:
The tea producing regions of Nepal are very close to
Darjeeling and subsequently their teas are somewhat similar in taste
and cup appearance.
ESTATE (BLACK) TEA - SIKKIM:
The tea producing regions of Sikkim are very close to Darjeeling and
subsequently their teas are somewhat similar in taste and cup
appearance.
BLACK (RED) TEA - CHINA:
Nowhere in the world is there as diverse a selection of dramatic
teas as in China. Tea is produced in 18 different provinces in China
with soil and climatic conditions varying greatly from one region to
another. These elements cause great variation in the appearance and
taste of tea. In Chinese society there are historical, legendary and
religious connotations including manufacturing, serving and
consumption of tea. Our importer are regular visitors to the various
provinces and regions of China and invite you to look through our
window at the world of China black teas.
WHITE TEA - SRI LANKA
(CEYLON), DARJEELING (INDIA) & CHINA:
The production of
white tea is different from other tea. The leaves come from special varietal tea bushes and are not processed but are dried and withered
in the sun. (If mechanical drying is required the leaves are baked
(not fired) at temperatures less than 40 degree C. Only special “two
leaves and a bud” are selected with the ideal being two leaves
wrapped around a newly developing shoot. After withering and drying
these leaves are then painstakingly selected and sorted by hand.
GREEEN TEA - JAPAN:
Japan has been growing it’s own tea since at least the 8th century
when Zen Buddhist priests grew the plants in their temple gardens
with seeds obtained from fellow Buddhists in China.
GREEN TEA - CHINA:
China produces the broadest range of green teas in the world. Many
of these teas are so special only a few hundred pounds are produced
each year. Listed on this page/website are some of the most popular
as well as some of the most unusual. Truly unique and superb green
teas:
GREEN TEA - TAIWAN,
INDIA, KENYA, SRI LANKA (CEYLON):
You will discover green tea
delights from Taiwan plus countries such as India, Kenya and Sri
Lanka that perhaps are not normally associated with green tea
production. All of them are unique in their own way. For instance,
Kenya green tea has excellent flavor and body whereas others have
very unique taste profiles.
OOLONG TEA - CHINA & TAIWAN:
Oolong Tea is semi-fermented compared to Green Tea (unfermented) and
Black Tea (fully fermented). Oolongs are easily recognized by the
appearance of the leaves which are stout, crinkled and when infused,
often tend greenish with reddish edges. The flavor profiles can vary
tremendously according to the tea makers skills and the soil
conditions of the tea bushes.
ORGANIC TEA: is becoming the healthy choice for some consumers. Organic
tea is produced without the input of chemical fertilizers or
pesticides and herbicides. Natural fertilizers are used to
invigorate the soil as best as possible. The yield per acre is lower
compared to when fertilizers and others inputs are utilized.
Nevertheless with good manufacturing techniques the cup
characteristics can be maintained at a high level - such is the case
with these organic tea. To be recognized as “organic”, it takes 3
years of organic husbandry before European association will consider
the estate for certification.
DECAFFEINATED TEA:
is processed using the CO2 Process. The advantage of this
decaffeination process is that no chemical solvents (such as methylene chloride or ethyl acetate) are used to remove the
caffeine. Also, using the naturally occurring CO2 in a circulation
process which carefully uses high pressure and temperature to
extract the caffeine, there is of course, a slight change in the
character of the tea due to the process but the end result is an
uncompromising cup of tea with no chemical overtones.
HERBAL TEA:
have special and unique flavors; some even have medicinal
properties. The herbal teas we offer are the most commonly
available—we simply make sure that they are the best. Herbal teas
from the mint family are said to aid in digestion and Camomile is
purported to assist one to sleep.
HERBS:
for brewing, winemaking and tea.
BLENDED TEA:
is a collection of favorite blends the world over. For
instance, French Blend is "Ooh la la, iz so Nice". Blend 1776
is "A tea worth fighting for!" Blended teas are made by blending the
nuances of various teas to create delicious synergy. We know we
provide you with the best blended teas that are available ANYWHERE!
Join us for a world of taste sensations.
NATURALLY FLAVORED TEA: is a collection of naturally flavored black teas.
What makes our flavored teas so special and soooooo GOOD? Only HIGH
GROWN CEYLON tea from estates more than 5500 feet above sea level
are use. We only use NATURAL FLAVORS giving a clean, true taste with
no chemical aftertaste. We only pack our teas in FLAVOR-SEALED bags
preserving freshness and superb taste. We know we provide you with
the best flavored teas that are available ANYWHERE!
To help you with your selection, we have carefully selected 139
varieties

Premium varietal grape concentrates
produced with grapes harvested from the number one grape growing
region in the world is the reason to produce the finest grape
concentrates. Nature, technology, and man's hard work combine to
produce grape concentrate that some of the elite winemakers choose
year after year. In all, 26 different types of grapes are crushed,
filtered, chilled, and evaporated during the grape season so that
you, the winemaker, can choose the variety and type that suits your
desired needs. Concentrates are produced at 68 Brix. Availability is
subject to harvest conditions.
There are those who criticize wines made from concentrates as being
derived from synthetic products. However, statistics show that more
and more contest medal winning wines are produced from concentrates.
That percentage is likely to grow as talented winemakers use high
quality concentrates in their winemaking. The higher quality
concentrates, especially 100% pure product, will produce excellent
wine (in the right hands.) Once you have purchased your concentrate,
heed the advice on the label. Follow all the tests and basic
procedures of good wine making just as if you were using fresh
grapes or grape juice. Use oak if the wine requires oak and raise
the tannin in the reds. Alexander's Sun Country has a long
established history of fine concentrates. The labels of Alexander's
Sun Country have a panel with handy tips and recommendations for the
home winemaker. There is also a recipe located on every can label
for the user's convenience.
Most important in your winemaking adventure will be your talent as a
winemaker. Years of experience, trial, and error enter into this
process. Your nose, your taste buds, and your instincts will elevate
your efforts to the levels which produce superior wines. These are
the earmarks of a good winemaker. The true winemaker coaxes his
wines to high levels, seeking balance, complexity, nose and finish.
Over the years, California Concentrate Company have received
numerous testimonial letters from satisfied customers who have won
competitions with their winemaking efforts. Not only are they
surprised but gratified with the success of their endeavors. You,
too, can join the ranks of delighted users of Alexander Sun Country
concentrates. Happy winemaking! NOTE: For a 5 gallon medium body
wine use: 2 - 46 oz. can of juice concentrate.
Vintner's
Harvest Fruit Wine Bases
Are fresh fruit in
their own juices with nothing else added - no sugars and no
sulfites. With a wide selection of delicious fruits to choose from,
the Vintner's Harvest line of wine bases is sure to please the most
discriminating home winemaker. Because of the delicate nature of
apple, Apple Fruit Wine Base is unique. It contains no fruit pieces
which would brown and soften in the can. Instead, a delicious blend
of apples ae selected, pressed and deacidified prior to the
concentration process. Once concentrated, a blend of acids is
reintroduced specifically for the end purpose of fermentation. Apple
Fruit Wine Base is therefore more than your average apple
concentrate. Because the winemaker can choose to make different
volumes of apple wine, it is still necessary to add acids by
following the recipe directions on the can. Like the apple
concentrate, Elderberry Wine Base is made from an adjusted
concentrate to insure a quality product. Whether you are a novice or
a seasoned winemaker, we know you will enjoy your wine made with
delicious Vintner's Harvest Fruit Wine Bases.
